Do I need to have any boating experience? No. We specialize in introducing people to a safe and fun experience. Our “Aqua Donut” is very easy to operate and you will be a pro in no time. Instructions to operate the engine are provided at the start and are also available on “Aqua Donut”. What Is the Boat made of? Is it inflatable? The boat is made out of Fiberglass or High Density Polyethylene which is a hard plastic compound that floats by itself. It cannot sink, even when full of water. Does the Boat have a motor? Yes. The boat has a tiller outboard motor of 5 horsepower. How fast does the boat go? It travels at 4 to 5 miles per hour depending on wind, current and amount of people on board. Do I need a boat licence to operate it? Our “Aqua Donut” is designed to meet the special requirements of hire without a boat licence. A person must be 18 years of age or older to operate “Aqua Donut”. What is your cancellation policy? If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee! If you cancel within 6 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 20 percent cancellation fee. What about the safety of boats? They all have the required safety equipment, including life jackets and an anchor. You drive on the open ocean but close to land, so you are reasonably close to transmission masts in case you want to use your mobile phone. There is always a safety boat nearby. Do we need a captain? No, you may drive the boat yourself if there is no alcohol consumed. We will instruct you how to operate the boat and the outboard motor. Would you prefer a captain? It is also possible at an additional price of $35 per hour. Can I bring my own food? Yes, Bring your own food and drinks. How many people can hold the boat? Two of our boats can accommodate 8 people and one of our boat can accommodate 10 people. How do I book the boat for a specific day and time? Click on our website in the menu on Aqua Donut and go to '' Book Now ''. Enter your details and the date you want to reserve the boat. Can I reserve today for tomorrow's outing? It depends on capacity and current reservations. Obviously calendar holidays fill up quickly as do weekends. So the earlier you make your reservations, the better it is for you and your party to get the date and time you want. Are we fully booked? You may try our reservations line to see if there are any last minute cancellations. How will I be on the boat? Every trip with the Aqua Donut takes at least 2 hours. This is usually too short to enjoy the breath-taking Aruba. To make a pleasant trip on the water you are quickly 4 hours on the water. You can indicate during the booking process how many hours the Aqua Donut would like to rent. What If I'm Traveling Alone? Taking the boat out by yourself is possible, but the cost would be three hundred dollars if you "go it alone." What if we are part of a large group? Can we use more than one boat? You can rent a maximum of 3 boats at the same time. Are there bathrooms on the boat? No. We encourage you to take care of business before boarding. I am pregnant. Can I still ride? Many women who are pregnant can ride our boats during all stages of their pregnancy. However, every pregnancy is different so we encourage you to consult your physician. Please let us know upon arrival so we can accommodate you accordingly. Will I get wet? Our boats are subject to others' boat maneuvers that can create waves and spray. All passengers should expect to get at least some spray. The amount of water depends on weather and water conditions. No seat is guaranteed to be permanently dry. Prepare accordingly and you will enjoy the experience. Is it safe and suitable for kids? Our “Aqua Donut” is very stable and safe for kids and they will have a great time on it too and we provide lifejackets that fit children. How soon should I arrive for my booking? You will need to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booking so we can brief you and go through checklists. What happens if I return early?
